Mission:
Saving, healing, and honoring lives through organ and tissue donation
Vision:
A world where there is no waiting for a transplant, and donating organs and tissues is universal
Values:
Excellence, Integrity, Innovation and People
Who We Are:
Lifesharing is the federally-designated organ procurement organization (OPO) serving San Diego and Imperial counties in Southern California.
What We Do:
We coordinate organ and tissue donation at the end of life. Every year, we help transplant hundreds of vital organs – including hearts, lungs, livers and kidneys.
Our History:
Lifesharing was founded in 1973 to support UC San Diego Medical Center’s burn center and kidney transplant program. We now work with hospitals throughout the region and support transplant programs across the United States.
